I have an ongoing list of projects I’d like to create/make/work on. It keeps growing in length, as projects get added faster than I can complete them.
What’s even worse is sometimes I’ll gather all the parts and supplies I will need an organise them into nicely-labelled and stacked bins. Then never work on them.
One project I’ve been itching to do for a while is to create a thermal printer camera. Something like this one.
So, I created a (poor) excuse to make one. And lo and behold, it works:
I broke out the glue and scissors and set it up in a cardboard box vaguely disguised as a giant camera.
It is quite a bit of fun, and reminiscent of the Polaroid cameras of yore, or of a photo booth, which I have only seen once in my life, a long, long time ago when I was a young child. Hopefully a new generation of kids will create some fond memories of my camera.
